THERESA MAY’s Brexit plan is “dead as a dodo” the SNP Westminster leader has told her.
Ian Blackford said during Prime Minister’s Questions that the Chequers Plan was as unpopular in Scotland as the Poll Tax was.
He said: “When the Tories introduced the Poll Tax, Scotland was used a guinea pig. The Prime Ministers Chequers Plan is even more unpopular than the Poll Tax.
“Why gamble with Scotland’s future with her disastrous Chequers Plan."
He said Michel Barnier has said it was unacceptable and former Governor of the Bank of England Mervyn King said it was incompetent.
He added: “Prime Minister, your Chequers Plan is as dead as a dodo.”
He urged her to accept that remaining in the single market and customs union was the only way to protect jobs.
The Prime Minister said: “We have put forward a proposal that protects jobs, protects livelihoods and ensures we deliver on the vote of the British people.”
She said: “It delivers for the UK, the whole of the UK.”
