Two men have been jailed for abducting, assaulting and robbing a teenage boy as he walked home from a shop in Renfrew.
The 14-year-old victim was attacked in Hairst Street around 6.15pm on January 27.
He was forced into a flat by Anthony Wright, 23, and 27-year-old Christopher Rennie.
The youngster was held against his will and subjected to a "terrifying and sustained assault" after popping to the local shop for some sweets.
The hour-long ordeal saw him blindfolded, battered and robbed while one of the thugs told him: “I’ve killed before.”
They demanded he return home and steal £500 from his mum.

The youngster, who was blood-soaked, managed to escape their clutches – despite being forced to walk in women’s boots.
Wright and Rennie were found guilty of abduction, assault and robbery on August 13 following a trial at the High Court in Glasgow.
Detective Chief Inspector Fil Capaldi from Renfrewshire and Inverclyde CID said: “These two despicable individuals preyed on an innocent teenage boy who was simply making his way home from the shop.
“They blindfolded, assaulted and terrorised him, subjecting him to a sickening and degrading assault and made him genuinely fear for his life.

“This crime truly shocked members of the public who were left absolutely disgusted at what these individuals did. They are clearly a danger to society and have no place in our community.
“Thankfully the victim saw an opportunity to escape and alert the police, and detectives were able to swiftly apprehend the perpetrators and secure vital evidence.
“I hope that today’s outcome, which reflects the gravity of the crime, provides some closure to the victim and his family and will enable them to move past this horrific experience.”
