HUNDREDS of excited fans have packed into the iconic Pavilion Theatre for its first performance since a devastating fire in Victoria's Nightclub forced the venue to close five months ago.
The Renfield Street venue got back in action with a rescheduled performance of Celtic - The Musical.
The Evening Times was live on the scene to speak with owner Iain Gordon.
He said: "It's exciting, the crowd are coming and they're spending their money so it's good to be back.

"We would always bounce back. The Pavilion seems to be one of those places that bounces back."
He added: "It's just a part of everybody's history.
"People's memories are built at the Pavilion, right through from bringing their kids right through to panto, then their bringing their kids, then their bringing their grandkids.

"It's just a family theatre."

The Robroyston pair told the Evening Times: "After the show had been cancelled, we're excited to go.
"We had ourselves hyped up to go then we were wonrdering would it go elsewhere after the fire but we're glad it's here.
"It's a bit daunting being the first ones in but we've been to a few shows here before, like the pantos.
"It would've been a sad loss for Glasgow if it had been damaged in the fire so we're glad it was saved and it's getting back to normal."
