A MAN has been taken to hospital after a car crash caused chaos on Dalmarnock Bridge during morning rush hour.
The vehicle crashed into a dozen old, iron bollards on the bridge, leaving them completely destroyed.
In the incident, a lamppost was also ripped out of the ground.

As previously reported by the Evening Times, one eyewitness said on social media at around 7am: “Ongoing incident at Dalmarnock Bridge. Some bollards have been crashed into on the bridge. Burnt out car, looks like it crashed into a lamppost.”
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said it was alerted to the incident by Police Scotland at around 7.14am.
Firefighters attended and remained at the scene for around half an hour.

The car has since been removed from the bridge, but images have shown the trail of destruction left behind.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “At around 7.15am on Thursday, September 6 2018, a car collided with a lamppost on Dalmarnock Road, near to Dalmarnock Bridge.
“Emergency services attended and a 37-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for assessment.
“Enquiries into the full circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.”
