I don’t think anyone can deny that Allan McGregor deserved to be sent off for his kick out at Kristoffer Ajer.
It was a show of petulance, and while there wasn’t much malice in it, there was still clear grounds for a red card.
After finding no case to answer from this incident and overturning the Alfredo Morelos red card for his kick out at Scott McKenna, the SFA are setting a dangerous precedent. Is it going to take a broken leg to merit a red card now?
If the SFA could come out and explain how they arrived at these decisions it would be welcome, but I’m not holding my breath.
