A man has been stabbed in a city centre nightclub.

Police are hunting for two suspects following the attack in Kushion on Bath Street in the early hours of Friday morning.

Officers said the 21 year-old man was in the venue when he was seriously assaulted by two men around ten to three in the morning.

The man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary and then transferred to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he was treated for stab wounds.

His condition was described as stable.

Detective Constable Michael Leyton of City Centre Police Office, said: “Officers have been carrying out enquiries into this incident and have gathered CCTV footage which we will study to gather more information and identify the two men responsible for this violent and unprovoked attack.

“At this time, I would urge anyone who witnessed this incident take place within the nightclub who has not yet spoken to police to please come forward as they may have information that is significant to our investigation. “

The first suspect is described as around 5ft 9 inches in height and of medium build with sallow skin and short dark hair.

The second suspect is described as in his mid-twenties, around 6ft 2 inches in height and of medium build with short dark coloured hair.
