COPS searching for missing Springburn man Graeme Hind have discovered a body near Balfron.
The force confirmed today that the body of a man was discovered on August 28 in a wooded area near Balfron.
It is believed to be missing Graeme Hind of Huntershill Place.
We previously reported that a search was launched for the 55-year-old who was reported missing last month.
He was last seen on CCTV at the Gulf petrol station on Kirkintilloch Road, Bishopbriggs.
Concern grew over his whereabouts when he failed to show up for an appointment the following day.
He had been going through a difficult time prior to his disappearance and the death is not being treated as suspicious.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "On Thursday, August 28, the body of a man was found in a wooded area near Balfron.
"The body is believed to be that of Graeme Hind who was reported missing from the Springburn area of Glasgow on August 7."
The force added that a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
