An Aberdeenshire ice cream parlour are on the hunt for a Glasgow man who made an impressive 400-mile round trip to purchase their produce. 

Bicocchis Ice Cream in Fraserburgh have made a plea to help trace the man who drove all the way up from Glasgow to purchase a whopping £200 worth of ice cream before driving back down again. 

In a Facebook post, Lorraine Reid who works in the shop said: "Need some help finding a man.........no you’ve not accidentally logged in to Tinder.

"A man came into the shop last night and bought £200 of Ice cream, he drove all the way up from the Glasgow area and was driving straight back down again.

"Now when someone drives a 400-mile round trip for Ice cream, well we’d kinda like to know the story behind it, so if you know of this person please tell them to get in touch!"

The mysterious ice cream lover also grabbed a photograph outside the shop which might help narrow down the search.

Having already been shared more than 300 times, the post has attracted a great deal of attention and comments.

One local said: "That's amazing, obviously the man knew class ice cream. Good luck finding him."

Another added: "Wow! That's a serious amount of ice cream! Hope he has a freezer in his car or it'll be warm milkshake by the time he gets home."
