A Glasgow girlfriend who was visiting Tulliallan to watch her boyfriend's passing out parade with Police Scotland was stunned when all of the attention suddenly turned to her.
At the end of a day of awards and inspections, PC Lloyd Bailey from Manchester, one of the latest recruits to be accepted into the force, got down on one knee to propose to his girlfriend Skye MacDonald.
The 24-year-old make-up artist from Merrylee was completely taken aback by the proposal which 24-year-old Lloyd had been planning with his classmates for a while.
Skye told the Evening Times: "It was an absolute flood of emotions, everyone was watching including his class who knew.
"People were clapping from the castle windows it was a complete surprise, I was definitely not expecting it."
