SCOTLAND’S top fish and chip shop has today been revealed.
It comes as the finalists of the Fish and Chip Shop of the Year award are unveiled as part of the 2019 National Fish & Chip Awards.
Low’s Traditional Fish & Chip Shop in Westhill, Aberdeenshire, has been named as Scotland’s best.
Organised by Seafish, the annual event is a UK-wide competition celebrating the best of the fish and chip industry.
Each of the top 10 will now fry high to become the best shop in the UK as they prepare to head to a final stage of judging in London next January before the overall winner is crowned.
Marcus Coleman, chief executive officer at Seafish, said: “It’s not possible to reach this stage of the competition without displaying true quality in every aspect of running a fish and chip business, so Low’s Traditional Fish & Chip Shop should be extremely proud of what they’ve achieved so far. It’s that commitment to quality in all areas that make The National Fish & Chip Awards such a great experience for all involved.”
The winner will be announced on January 24, 2019.
