GLASGOW music favourite MacSorley's has announced a shock closure.
The pub, which has been a showcase for hundreds of bands, said it is "closing our doors for the last time" on Saturday.
Bosses for the bar posted the news on Facebook and blamed the closure on a wrangle with suppliers that has left staff without beer to sell.
The statement reads: "We have done our best to keep going as long as possible, despite being strangled from above. We are now at the stage where we cannot hide any it any longer.
"We apologise to any customer who has been disappointed of late but can assure you we have done our best in what has been an impossible situation.
"At this point I would personally like to thank our staff, who despite knowing what's been going on, stood by us and gave us their support.
"Also to the Bands and Residents who as preformed in the last two years.
"Sorry we are not bringing better news and is with a heavy heart we do this."
Fans expressed shock at the closure of the Jamaica Street favourite.
David Williamson wrote: "I have over a long period, visited, drank and ate in MacSorleys. I have listen to many bands and singers alike.
"This is sad news. I thank you all for your hospitality, I wish you well kin the future. So sad."
Gary Ryan added: "Sorry to hear that.
"We (Deep River) have always enjoyed playing in there. Best pub in Glasgow for Live Music.
"All the best with new ventures."
And Lesley Hay said: "Sorry to hear it. Cracking pub and atmosphere.
"It’ll be a sad day indeed, especially for music lovers.
"Wishing you all the best going forward and it’s such a shame that it’s no fault of your own."
