SO, Alfredo Morelos missed a glorious chance on his Colombia debut, but you can be sure that he will put it right out of his head and get himself in there again at the first possible opportunity.
Rest assured, those sort of misses happen to all strikers. Goodness knows, I missed sitters upon sitters in my time playing up top, but the important thing is that you forget about it as soon as possible.
Morelos, just like the great Rangers strikers like Ally McCoist, has that mental strength to keep getting into goalscoring positions and that’s why he will consistently get amongst the goals for the club.
I noticed that Radamel Falcao, the great Colombian striker, has been full of praise for Morelos and his workrate since joining up with his national side, and if he’s good enough for him, then he’s good enough for me.
To get capped for his country at such a young age is great for him, and Falcao tipping him to become a regular for years to come will be a huge feather in his cap.
It can only be good for Rangers too, with his profile heightened and his asking price when the time comes for him to eventually move on surely not hurt by his national service.
