A YOUNG woman has been left with facial injuries after she was attacked in Cambuslang.
Police are now investigating the assault which happened on Main Street on Friday night.
The force said the 27-year-old was treated at Hairmyres Hospital. The Evening Times understands that the woman required several stitches to her face They did not release details of the suspect and said enquiries are continuing.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “At around 9.25pm on Friday, September 7, police received a report of a 27-year-old woman having been assaulted in Main Street, Cambuslang.
“The victim was taken to Hairmyres Hospital to be treated for facial injuries.
“Enquiries are continuing.”
