A former SNP MP has drawn attention to Glasgow's Rastafarian councillor following a joke made on the BBC Two comedy panel show Mock the Week.
Whilst discussing the Labour antisemitism row in a recent episode, the panel joked about potentially discovering that the SNP has a distaste for Rastafarians.
In response, Anne McLaughlin took to Twitter to let the show know that in fact the SNP were the first party in Scotland to have a Rastafarian elected.
Graham Campbell, SNP councillor for the Springburn/Robroyston ward was elected back in May 2017.
Anne, who now trains people in the UK and overseas in public speaking and political engagament, hit back at Mock the Week with a picture of the councillor from Glasgow.
Her tweet read: "@MockTheWeek speculating after Lab’s anti semitism row asks will we discover @theSNP hate Rastafarians?
"No! We won’t! This, #mocktheweek is SNP councillor in Glasgow Graham Campbell, first Rastafarian elected in Scotland."

Mock the Week front man Dara Ó Briain was quick to defend the comment made on the show as a joke which he claimed was very obvious.
He wrote back: "Well, it was a joke, and I presumed that was obvious? Best of luck to @CllrGrahamC though!"

Several other members of the public piped in on the discussion with one Twitter user commenting on what a good guy the Glasgow councillor is.
Graham is a first class guy. I have spoken to him a couple of times and he knows more than most. He is also a wonderful public speaker.
