New York-based fashion brand Kate Spade, famed for its handbags and accessories, has announced plans to open a concept store in Glasgow.
The store, which will be located in the chic Princes Square shopping centre will be the second of its kind in the world and will feature the brand's new design concept.
Due to open in spring 2019, the 1800sq ft concept store will add to Kate Spade’s 140 existing stores worldwide, including five in England and one in Ireland.
Glasgow shoppers can currently get their hands on a Kate Spade delight at the boutique within Frasers on Buchanan Street.
The news follows the brand’s first runway show at New York Fashion Week since the death of its founder Kate Spade.
Kate, 55, was found dead in her Manhattan apartment in June.
During Fashion Week, Northern Irish designer Nicola Glass unveiled her first collection for the fashion house in what was described as a “touching tribute” to the luxury designer.
