A MAJOR search has been launched for a young women who vanished over a week ago from the Gallowgate area of the city.
Charlene Glancy, 38, was seen around 4 pm last Tuesday and police say she was dealing with personal issues prior to her disappearance.
She is described as being around 5ft, of slim build and was last seen wearing black skinny jeans or leggings, a black zipped top, blue jacket and trainers.
Police Constable Stephen Hyslop, of Maryhill Police Office, said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Charlene, who has now not been seen for over a week.
“She has been going through some personal issues lately and therefore we want to make sure she is safe and well.
“Charlene knows the Glasgow area well, and has spent time in the city centre as well as the Calton area.
“We would appeal to anyone who believes they may have seen someone matching her description, or knows of her whereabouts, to come forward and contact us.”
Anyone with information should contact Police via 101, quoting incident number 1117 of Wednesday 5 September 2018.
