Glasgow singer-songwriter Gerry Cinnamon has added extra dates to his latest tour.

The Castlemilk musician has already sold out four nights at Glasgow's O2 Academy and Barrowlands at the end of the year.

He will also be performing at the SSE Hydro supporting Manchester legends The Courteeners.

But, much to the surprise of fans, Gerry has added another three surprising dates.

The tour will now see him stop off in Kilmarnock for a show at the Grand hall, Dundee's Caird Hall and Aberdeen's Beach Ballroom.

Tickets for the shows will go on sale on Friday under strict rules.

A post by the performer states that strictly four tickets per person and per card can be purchased; the lead bookers name will be printed on all tickets and they must attend the show and present photo ID on arrival; if booking more than one ticket you all must arrive at the show together in order to gain entry; tickets cannot be resold or transferred anywhere other than on Twickets, which is a secure place for fans to sell or buy spare tickets at no more than face value and that tickets purchased on secondary ticket sellers will not be valid and you won’t get into the show.

Gerry said: "The last year’s been wild. The album’s flying. Scottish tour sold out in jig time. England and Ireland dates done the same and then two nights in the ‘dam.

"And it’s all just from word of mouth. No big marketing. That means the folk who come to the gigs are there 'cause they love their tunes. That means it's real.

"It might not seem like much but it means something to me. See when the crowd’s with you singing every word it's a mad feeling. Beautiful mayhem."

We previously reported how fans were left reeling after all four shows sold out in three minutes.

Disappointed customers claimed that tickets were being listed as sold out before even going on sale.

They appeared on third-party sites for double the price shortly after 9am.

Gerry responded by stating that he had put several measures in place to stop touts snapping up tickets.

He added: "For the record. If you think I want some corporate goon reselling my ticks for 10x the asking price you’ve lost it.

"If you think I’m somehow involved or can stop it when the biggest bands in the world can’t do anything about it then you’re misinformed at best."
