A terminally ill Partick Thistle fan has received a very special surprise visit during his final days.
His grandson Peter Ross was very touched when his Jags-daft grandfather was visited in hospital by the captain of the team, Kris Doolan.
After the family had reached out to the club and told them the story, the striker went to visit the elderly man in hospital and spend some time with him, which Peter described as an "amazing gesture".
The young man shared the news on Twitter alongside a snap of his grandpa (sporting a Thistle top) with the Jags captain.
He said: "My Paps is a lifelong @PartickThistle fan and is currently in hospital with terminal cancer.
"The family reached out to the club and told them his story.
"Today, Kris Doolan went to visit and spend some time with him, making his last days unforgettable. Amazing gesture!"

The tweet has since been liked more than 3,000 times with several Thistle fans commending the skipper's visit.
One fan wrote: "Fantastic gesture from Dools, wouldn’t expect anything less. Recognise your papa from Firhill. Thoughts with the family at this time. All the best"
Another added: "Top class from Kris. Wouldn’t expect anything less. Top guy."
