SHOPPERS in Kilmarnock are set to enjoy a fresh-faced Asda as the supermarket announced the completion of its revamp following a £2.2m investment.
In addition to an all new layout and brightened look, customers in Kilmarnock can experience brand new store features including the popular Scan & Go service, allowing shoppers to scan and bag items as they shop using the provided handset and breeze through the dedicated checkouts.
Amongst these new changes, the store, situated on Queens Drive, has also seen a full counter replacement as well as a revamped George department, complete with lightbox displays. A number of in-store food counters have also received a makeover including the bakery.
George McFarlane, store manager at Asda Kilmarnock, said: “We’re really excited about all the new offerings in the store.
"Everyone's worked hard behind the scenes to get the store ready and we’re raring to show the community.
“During this time, we’ve tried to cause minimal disruption to the shopping of our customers and would like to thank them for their patience over the course of the refresh.
“Off the back of the significant investment into making over the store, we’ve added a variety of new services and product offerings for our customers. It’s the same Asda Kilmarnock store they know and love, but back stronger and better than ever.”
The Asda store in Kilmarnock is open 24 hours and offers a fully accessible car park.
