COPS are investigating the death of a man in Cumbernauld.
The force said they were called to the town's Abronhill in the early hours of Friday morning after the body was discovered.
The man was discovered in Medlar Road after 5am and the force did not reveal his age.
A post mortem examination is due to take place but the death is being treated as unexplained.
A force spokeswoman said: "At around 5.35am on Friday, September 14, police received a report of man's body having been found in Medlar Road, Cumbernauld.
"A post mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the cause of death.
"Enquiries are ongoing and the death is being treated as unexplained."
