A WOMAN has been arrested after a woman was allegedly seriously assaulted in a home in Glasgow's South Side.
Police Scotland confirmed that a 58-year-old has been arrested in connection with the incident which happened on Sunday at noon.
The force said a 31-year-old was seriously assaulted within a property in Newlands Road.
She was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
A spokeswomab for the force said: “Around midday on Sunday, September 16, police were called to reports of a 31-year-old woman having been seriously assaulted within a property on Newlands Road in Glasgow.
“Emergency services attended and the 31-year-old woman was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
“A 58-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.”
