THIEVES have raided a golf shop making off with equipment worth a four figure sum.
Cops in Ayrshire are investigating the robbery which happened at Largs Golf Club on Thursday at around 3.15am.
The force said two men forced open the shutters and entered the shop of the gold club on Irvine Road and made off with equipment worth a four figure sum.
They are also keen to get more information on a white Seat Ibiza car which was seen in the area.
Detective Constable, Fionntan Rankin, Saltcoats Police Office, said: The two men believed to be involved have planned this theft – it is vital that we find those responsible. Officers have been checking CCTV and making door to door enquiries.
“We know that there was a white Seat Ibiza car in the area that night and we are appealing for anyone who may have seen this car, or the driver of this car to come forward and contact us.
“Think back, where were you in the early hours of Thursday morning – did you hear or see anything you think may be able to help us?
"We are also appealing to anyone who may have been offered golf equipment or knows of anyone selling a large amount of equipment in the area in the last few days to get in touch."
