He's the jolly fat man with a sack full of gifts and one of the top things to do with your little ones at Christmas is to visit Mr. Claus 'in the flesh'.

Glasgow welcomes the man himself at various locations across the city each year in the run up to the big day on December 25.

And this year, some locations are taking bookings now in a bid to better organise the meet and greet experiences.

Here is a list of the top places welcoming Saint Nick to Glasgow this year...

Hamleys, St Enoch Centre

The famous toy store welcome the curator of the 'nice' list each year but booking is essential for 2018 and has already opened.

Between November 24 and December 24, kids between the ages of two and eight can take part in a group session which involves stories, shows, games, meeting Father Christmas and includes a snack and gift bag for every child.

Booking costs £25 per child and places can be reserved here.

Dine with Santa, Snow Factor

Meeting Santa whilst surrounded by real snow could be the ultimate Christmas activity for kids this year.

The Santa experience at Snow Factor Braehead gives little ones the chance to enjoy breakfast, brunch, lunch, late lunch or dinner with the man himself.

For only £29, each child will dine with Mr Claus and receive a gift, enjoy (as part of a group) a short story reading from Santa himself, and take part in 30 minutes of sledging on real snow.

Booking has already opened for this event and spaces can be booked here

Gouldings Christmas Winter Wonderland, Lanarkshire

Although not located in the city, this event which opens on November 24 is a great place to not only meet Santa but also his reindeers.

While enjoying Christmas songs, visitors will be taken round the centre in a Christmas wagon, stopping along the way to see different animals including donkeys and reindeer, before meeting Mrs Claus and Santa himself.

This event does not require booking and costs £9.50 per child and £6 per adult.

More information can be found here.

Santa’s Grotto at Dobbies, Milngavie & Braehead

Santa's Grotto is set to be one of the most exciting festive experiences at Dobbies.

Little ones can explore the magical setting, be welcomed by Santa himself and receive a toy of their choice.

Booking is not essential but is advised as key dates sell out quickly.

Tickets cost £11.99 and can be booked here.

Glasgow Shopping Centres

As always Santa's grottos will also be set up in shopping centres across the city including Silverburn, St Enoch Centre and Braehead.

Little ones can meet the sleigh-riding sir for a photo whilst their parents get some Christmas shopping done.
