Greenock has been called many things over the years but according to BBC's The One show it has a new name.
Whilst discussing the incident in which a cruise ship slipped its moorings at Greenock Ocean Terminal, the nightly show called the westcoast town "Greenloch" and actually captioned the footage of the ship, Nautica out in the sea with the 'new name'.
This mistake did not go unnoticed and was clocked by none other than Scot Squad creator Joe Hullait who shared the clip from tonight's show on his Twitter page.

Alongside the footage he wrote: "The One Show just referred to Greenock as Greenloch."
One local responded: "We’ve been called worse."
Whilst another added: "It's an easy mistake to make if you're American."
This is not the first time the sketch show creator has slammed the BBC.
Earlier this year he took aim at BBC's Pointless on social media after one of the Scot Squad actors appeared as a guest on the show and had to explain who he was to presenter Alexander Armstrong, despite them both appearing on the same network.
