A Finnieston laundrette has been given a facelift ahead of panto season coming to town.
Elaine C Smith, Johnny Mac and Paul-James Corrigan visited the Majestic Laundrette on Argyle Street to launch this year's panto, Aladdin.
Aladdin, which opens on Saturday 1 December, features First Lady of Scottish Panto Elaine C Smith leading the cast as Widow Twankey, Scottish comedian Johnny Mac as Wishee Washee and TV and stage favourite Paul James Corrigan as the Palace Guard.
All three join the cast of the King’s panto for the second year following an extremely successful run of Sleeping Beauty last Christmas.
The Majestic Laundrette in Finnieston was made over as “Twankey’s Steamie” for the day, a focal point in the pantomime tale of Aladdin which follows story which follows Aladdin, his brother Wishee Washee, and his mother Widow Twankey, on a spectacular adventure filled with flying carpets, a wish-granting genie, an evil sorcerer and a lamp-full of laughs
The King’s Theatre pantomime will be produced by Qdos Entertainment, the world’s biggest pantomime producer, for the second year.
