A 53-year-old man has been arrested and charged after a man was seriously assaulted in Rutherglen yesterday afternoon.
Around 12.50pm on Friday, Police were called to reports of a 47-year-old man having been seriously assaulted on Curtis Avenue.
Emergency services attended the scene and the man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
He was later released following treatment.
A 53-year-old has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "A 53-year-old man has been arrested and charged.
"He is due to appear in Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, January 28.
"A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
