A HEAVY police presence has been spotted as a search continues for a missing person in Lanarkshire.
Officers were spotted in Bellshill on Saturday night, with operations continuing into Sunday.
Reports on social media suggest a helicopter was in use on Saturday evening near to the Calder Bridge, over the South Calder Water.

A path in the Calder Road area of the Lanarkshire town which runs alongside the river has also reportedly been cordoned off, with multiple police vehicles in the area.
A spokesman said: "Police in Lanarkshire are currently working with other agencies in the search for a missing person in the Motherwell Road area of Bellshill.
"Enquries are ongoing."
