THREE Glasgow politicians have been promoted in a reshuffle of the SNP’s top team in Westminster.
City MPs David Linden, Alison Thewliss and Anne McLaughlin will now sit on the party’s frontbench.
Returning Glasgow North East parliamentarian McLaughlin will take over as shadow minister for women and equalities.
Meanwhile, Glasgow Central’s Thewliss takes over as the SNP’s shadow chancellor, following on from her previous role as spokesperson for treasury and cities.
David Linden, MP for Glasgow East, gets his first taste of the party’s frontbench as shadow secretary of state for housing, communities and local government.
They will join fellow Glasgow MP and defence spokesperson Stewart McDonald on Westminster SNP leader Ian Blackford’s frontbench.
