A RANGERS fan caught singing a sectarian song about Celtic manager Neil Lennon at an Old Firm game has been convicted.
The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was snared by police at Ibrox in May, last year.
The schoolboy sang the “up to our knees in f****n blood” line to the Billy Boys chant and a song directed at Lennon, which calls him a “f****n b*****d.”
The teen was arrested before half-time in the match Rangers went on to win 2-0.
He was found guilty yesterday at Glasgow Sheriff Court and charged with breach of the peace aggravated by religious prejudice.
Sheriff Alan Findlay deferred sentence until July for good behaviour.
He said: “You are a young man who made a bad mistake which could affect things in the future.
“If you are of good behaviour you will be dealt with leniently.
