TWO men have been taken to hospital following a disturbance in Rutherglen.
The incident happened on Tuesday afternoon just after 3.30 pm in the town's busy Main Street.
It is understood that officers have cordoned off an area of the busy stretch of road which is packed with shops.
It is not known how serious the men's injuries are.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “Police Scotland attended a disturbance in Main Street, Rutherglen at around 3.30 pm today, Tuesday, January 21.
“Two men suffered injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
