A thug pulled a 12-inch machete on a terrified taxi driver in a quiet Renfrewshire village.
As our sister title the Gazette reports, cops were called when the fiend brandished the blade at the cabbie in McConnell Road, Lochwinnoch, in the early hours of Sunday morning.
It's understood the driver picked up a woman in Glasgow and drove her to the village.

But, when they arrived at the address at around 6.30am, the woman went to the door and a man appeared carrying the giant weapon and warned the driver wouldn't be getting paid.
The driver made a quick escape and later reported the incident to officers.
A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and is due to appear in Paisley Sheriff Court today.
