A MAN is due in court after he allegedly had a machete in Glasgow city centre.
The incident happened at around 1 am on Sunday in the city's Hope Street near Central Station.
It's alleged that by the time officers arrived members of the public had tackled the man.
The 51-year-old will appear in the dock at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “At around 1.10 am, officers in Glasgow were made aware of a man in possession of a machete on Hope Street.
“A 51-year-old man was arrested and charged.
“A report has been sent to Procurator Fiscal and the man is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.”
