A BOLD thief has been captured on CCTV nicking a banner promoting a local Slimming World group.
The bizarre theft happened at Eastwood Parish Church in Mansewood just before 8 pm on Wednesday, January 15.
Lesley Clark, who runs the group, said: “It is such a deliberate act, it feels like an attack.”
The grainy footage shows a person deliberately remove the large banner before walking away from the scene.
Police Scotland confirmed they are now investigating the theft which was reported to them earlier this week.

Lesley, who successfully lost five stones on Slimming World and became a consultant five years ago, has since replaced the banner.
She said: “I have reported it but I know the police won’t go out looking for the banner, I understand that.
“They, however, told me if it happens again I should report it again because I am being targeted.”
She added: “My husband got me cable ties and put the banner on really right. It is not easy to take off.
“It literally was a clip, clip, clip and it was gone, it was that quick.”
Lesley, 56, who is from Clarkston, said the banner has been vandalised on previous occasions but she has always been able to patch it up.
She said: “I have been there five years, the group has been there longer.
“I have had a banner on that fence for five years.
“The more I thought about it if someone had vandalised it I would have been annoyed.
“But that was so deliberate, it was a deliberate attack and I can’t think why anybody would do that.”
She added: “If it is a targeted attack, I am very disappointed because everybody in the industry is doing their best to help people.
“It doesn’t matter what plan you follow or what group you go to, they all work if you stick to them.
“I am not out to steal anyone else’s members, I run two successful groups and have done for five years.”
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Police are carrying out enquiries after a banner was stolen from the outside of a church on Mansewood Road, Glasgow on Wednesday, January 15.”
Lesley’s classes run Tuesdays at 9.30 am and Fridays at 9.30 am and 11.30 am.
