A man has been stabbed "multiple times" during a shock attack in Paisley.
Emergency services were called to Stock Street at around 5pm on Sunday after the man was jumped by a group of men.
Police say the 39-year-old was approached by five men on Stock Street who stabbed him in the body and arms, as our sister title, The Gazette, reports.

He was rushed to the Royal Alexandra Hospital where he was treated for his wounds before later being released.
A police spokesperson said: "This attack took place in a busy area of Paisley during the day, so we are appealing for any eye-witnesses to come forward."
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101.
