A Glasgow driver was hit with a £100 fine and three points for what cops called "inconsiderate" cruising in the fast lane.
The driver managed to net points and a fine after police spotted him hogging the outside lane.
Road Policing Scotland took to Twitter to shame the driver and to warn others to return to the leftmost lane after overtaking, or else face the consequences.
Sitting in lane 5 of 5 on the #M8 at #J15 whilst not overtaking any other traffic will certainly bring you to our attention. Not moving over will net a stop, 3 points and a £100 fine-as one driver found out today

It’s inconsiderate to other road users
Return to the leftmost lane!
Fed-up motorists praised the police for taking on the "inconsiderate" commuter.
One user replied: "Good stuff.. #m74 into Glasgow is full of them.."
Another wanted police in his area to take their lead: "If you could tell your English colleagues to follow suit that would be brilliant! Good bit of policing and it's because of drivers like this that other drivers take to undertaking!"
