A car was set alight on a quiet residential street in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Locals found the burnt-out vehicle on Kinarvie Road in Crookston.
A photo posted to the local Facebook page shows the wreck sitting on the residential street in the South Side of Glasgow.
The motor was covered in black soot and had all of its windows smashed.
The boot is barely attached to the body of the car and the rear bumper has come off completely.
In response to the local community Facebook page, one resident claimed to have seen police officers searching neighbouring gardens for evidence.
Police Scotland said they were alerted to the incident but were unable to confirm if they attended the scene.
One nearby resident commented: "Such a quiet street, unusual for anything to happen there".
Scottish Fire and Rescue services extinguished the fire early on Wednesday morning.
The fire service could not confirm the cause of the fire, but the Glasgow Times understands it may have been caused by a mechanical fault.

Kinarvie Road is just over the Levern Water from Priesthill, where last month we reported that gangs of ten-year-olds were wrecking havoc in the neighbourhood.
Just a 15-minute walk from the site of the arson, local children have been of terrorising residents and driving people to consider leaving the area.
Priesthill locals have described the area as being "like the Bronx" and told the Glasgow Times windows had been boarded up in the neighbourhood for the first time since 2003.
Locals have linked the violence and crime to gangs operating in the area.
A spokesman for Police Scotland told the Glasgow Times: "Officers were alerted to the report of a car on fire outside a house in Crookston Road in Glasgow around 2.19am on Wednesday, 5 February, 2020.
"The fire was extinguished by the Fire and rescue Service. No suspicious circumstances."
