A SICK pervert snared with more than 100 hours of indecent footage of children on his laptop was jailed for 14 months today.

William Leonard, 29, also had a vile stash of 7732 explicit photos and video clips of youngsters in February last year.

He pleaded guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to possession of indecent images of children and permitting images of children to be taken.

Leonard, from Milton, was put on the sex offenders register by Sheriff Martin Jones QC.

The court heard police attended a house in the city’s Croftfoot area where he was living at the time.

Officers seized Leonard’s silver laptop.

Prosecutor Amanda Gallagher said: “There were 5640 accessible still images.

“There were 2092 accessible moving images.”

More than 2000 of the clips and photos were at the worst end of the scale used by authorities to grade such images.

The sick haul was of female children taken from websites.

The images were created between 24 September 2014 and 12 February 2019.

Miss Gallagher: “The overall play of the moving images was five days, eight hours and 52 minutes.”
