A PEDESTRIAN who died after being hit by a car on the M8 has been named.
Daniel McFarland was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics after being hit by a motor on Wednesday.
The 41-year-old was walking near to the slip from the M77 at around 7.25pm when he was struck by a Vauxhall Astra.

The 36-year-old driver was uninjured and a full report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Sergeant Jon Mochan, from Glasgow’s Road Policing Unit, based in Helen Street, said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Daniel at this difficult time.
“Our investigation into the crash is ongoing and I would appeal to anyone who saw this incident to contact us. Whether you saw a man walking along the carriageway or were on the road at the time and have dash-cam footage, you may have information that will assist our investigation.”
