A MAN has been killed after being hit by a train in Glasgow.
He was struck by a train near Priesthill and Darnley earlier today.
Emergency services were called to the incident between Barrhead and Kennishead earlier today but were unable to save the man, who was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene.
Services between Glasgow and Barrhead were briefly cancelled earlier today, but have since reopened.
Trains on the line will not stop at Priesthill and Darnley station.
Replacement buses are in place.

A spokesman for the British Transport Police told the Daily Record: "Officers were called to Priesthill and Darnley station shortly before 3.30pm today following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended however sadly a person has been pronounced dead at the scene.
"Officers are now working to identify the person and inform their family."
The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
