A TEENAGER has been knocked down in Glasgow's East End.
The 17-year-old was involved in a collision with a car near Tesco garage in Shettleston this morning.
An eyewitness told the Glasgow Times that there were several police cars and ambulance vehicles at the scene in the aftermath of the incident.
The youngster was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman: "Officers were called around 9.10 am to the Old Shettleston Road area of Glasgow following a crash involving a car and a pedestrian.
"The 17-year-old male pedestrian is being conveyed to hospital with potentially serious but not life-threatening injuries
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances which are not believed to be suspicious."
