There is no suggestion at this point the two disappearances were linked.
Mr Bowman hasn't been seen since going going missing in Torphin Crescent at the end of January.
Police launched an urgent appeal and just last month discovered his car near to Cuningar Loop.
Meanwhile, Mr Ackland has not been since going missing from the Sauchiehall Street area of Glasgow in December.
Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the deaths are ongoing.
