A Glasgow pub is offering school children free breakfast after the First Minister announced schools and nurseries would be closing from tomorrow.
The Lovat Arms on Dumbarton Road announced on Facebook they would be giving free toast, cerial and juice for any children who's parent's are struggling.
The post reads: "As schools are closing from Monday, if you’re local to us and your kids usually get breakfast at school the Lovat is doing cereal, toast, tea and juice for any kids who’s parents are struggling from 9-11am absolutely free!
"It’s at times like this we as a community pull together!
"Food bank donations can be dropped off at anytime! We’re both local boys we both know how it is. This will be unless a forced closure comes into place for Pubs."
"Just PM the page if popping in."
Councillor Paul Carey praised the pub.
He said: "What these two lads are doing right now shows we have many different cultures, but we are one country and community spirit is important in times like these.
"I'm very proud of these lads."
