A MAN has been caught stealing hundreds from a fund for a Down’s syndrome charity from an East End pub.
The man was caught on the Lea Rig’s CCTV pinching the bottle used to collect funds for Down’s Syndrome Scotland.
Margaret Collins, who owns the Alexandra Parade pub, called the theft “sickening”.
She said of the thug, who was caught stealing on camera: “He is just the lowest of the low."

The incident occurred on the night of Thursday, March 19.
Collins tried to identify the man from CCTV footage from a nearby off-licence, but has been unsuccessful.
She estimates there was over £200 in the bottle, which was left on the pub's counter.
