FINANCIAL support is being made available to council services and partner organisations who need extra funding during the Coronavirus outbreak.

Area Partnerships, which meet at the City Chambers and across Glasgow are helping groups who strive to benefit their local community and those in a vulnerable position.

It comes as Glasgow’s community planning partnership representatives vow to grant applications using delegated authority from the council.

Applications are now being submitted but will only be successful if the group can demonstrate they fit in with local priorities and the involvement of their local area.

Organisations being encouraged to apply by local councillors include Greater Pollok Services who aim to help employment opportunities and SWAMP Creative Media Centre who promote creative industries.

Those who do apply should be able to meet identified needs of the area they service and demonstrate how they will benefit those living within the partnership’s boundary.

The application should clearly link to one or more of the Area Partnership’s investment priorities. If it doesn't, the application will need to provide evidence that there is "strong case for consideration".
