The 25th annual West End Festival has been cancelled indefinitely due to the current health emergency.
The festival, which was due to run from May until June this year, has said that the event will return when in "better and safer days".
Liz Scobie, chair of the festival said: “We are all very disappointed to announce this decision. But it will not surprise you or the tens of thousands who enjoy the Festival and the thousands of artists and performers who take part each June.
"The WEF will return in better and safer days when we’ll all be able to celebrate with the worst behind us. Meanwhile a virtual hug to all our many friends and supporters.”
