A CONVOY of people from Glasgow were caught flouting lockdown rules - after visiting friends more than 400 miles away in London.
Police say seven people in two cars were spotted driving up from the English capital in the early hours of this morning.
Inspector Shivlock says the group "took a detour" through Manchester "for a drink" - where officers stopped the vehicles and dealt with them accordingly.
They say four of the individuals have been fined £60 - adding "when will people learn?"

Under new coronavirus legislation, police have been given the powers to fine people ignoring social distancing measures.
Government guidance on social distancing asks people to only leave their home for an essential purpose such as shopping for necessary food, household and medical supplies, travelling to and from work when doing so from home is not an option and daily exercise no closer than two metres from others.
