A documentary series on Central Station will return to the BBC Scotland channel tomorrow night.
The six-part Inside Central Station will air at 9 pm on Sunday following the daily life of Scotland’s busiest train station as it celebrates its 140th anniversary.
Located in the heart of Glasgow’s city centre, every day over 100,000 people pass through the station with passengers travelling to destinations all over the UK.
This new series follows the dedicated staff that keep everything running smoothly, day and night, from the station managers and maintenance crew, to dispatchers and train drivers.
Passengers and staff share their stories of love, loss and reunions and the history of Glasgow’s railway past is uncovered, including the iconic Grand Central Hotel whose rooms wrap around one corner of the station concourse.
The Blue Lagoon chip shop will also make an appearance in the new series.
