THUGS have scrawled Celtic grafitti on the front of a Rangers store in Glasgow city centre, the Daily Record has reported.

Vandals have painted "CFC 1" in green paint across the window of the St Enoch Square branch.

One passer-by who witnessed the damage said it was "totally shocking", particularly given the current lockdown.

The man, who asked not to be named, told the paper: "It is totally shocking that people think it is ok to do things like this, especially at this time with the lockdown on and everything.

"I was just on my way to get my lottery ticket and messages when I saw what happened, there was paint all over the window.

"It's just mindless, that will be a lot of work for someone to take off and for what?

"I think whoever did it it should be done and I hope the police get whoever it was."

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Enquiries are continuing."

Rangers Football Club has also been contacted for comment.
