TWO men have been reported for travelling to Glasgow from Oldham in Manchester to buy a 'cheaper' car.
Cumbria traffic cops said they stopped the pair's car near Carlisle.
The force added that the two men had been reported and escorted out of the area.
A force spokesman said: "Two male occupants stopped near Carlisle on their journey from Oldham to Glasgow to buy a car because it's 'Cheaper'.
"Not essential at all.
"Stay out of Cumbria.
"Both reported for breach of Covid. Escorted back out of the county."
Current lockdown rules mean that car journeys should only be to travel to work and back if you are a keyworker or for essential shopping.
