A 'vulnerable' elderly man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital yesterday afternoon after a disturbance at Victoria Park.
It comes after a video circulated on social media showing police officers removing the alleged 77-year-old from a bench at the park.
The video stirred public concern as the elderly man shouted "they're abusing me, help help" as the officers removed him from the park and bundled him into the back of a police van.
In the video, the elder shouts: "I came to the park, just for a bit of peace and quiet."
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "At around 2.20pm on Saturday, 9 May, officers received to a concern for person call to Victoria Park, Glasgow.
"Officers attended and a vulnerable 75 year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for assessment."
